US & OUR FORGIVENESS

US OUR”

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, unless you be tempted.”  (Gal.6:1)

·        Please forgive me my friend (my spouse, family, neighbor, fellow worker, countryman, and my enemy) It must hurt you to see my sin.  (Fake, phony, hypocrite, acting like I don’t belong to Jesus)  I AM sorry!  Please forgive me.  I need to know that you do forgive me.  I need to hear you say – “I forgive you”!

People are hurt by our wrong actions, but they are deeply wounded by our offensive attitudes.

The problem with attitudes is that we cannot hide them. They just keep coming out. Others see them in our facial expressions, our body language, our tonal patterns, our lack of a loving smile, in the words we use, and in our failure to show respect.

Romans 2:1  “Therefore (see why in Chapter one) You are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are that judges: for where in you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you that judge are doing the same things.”  (See also Mt.7:1,2  “Judge not” and Ps.18:25,26)

We see our faults in others, especially our children.  Point a finger and there are three fingers point right back at you.  Recognize that when others accuse you, they know what they are talking about.  (them self)  Remember that when you accuse others.  Forgive US (others) of what they may accuse you of (themselves).

If ______________ has anything against you, go to him and be reconciled.  You gain a brother.

FORGIVE “US OUR” SIN

Woman at the well -  Your sins be forgiven – (named them)

Woman caught in adultery – Go and sin no more.

“Anyone who is born of God does not continually practice sin.” (I Jn.3:9)

“It is not the lifestyle of the child of God, born again, to live in the pigpen.  Quick, get rid of feelings of hatred.  Don’t pretend to be good!  Be done with dishonesty, jealousy and talking about others behind their backs.  Put away all evil, deception, envy and fraud.”  (I Pet.2:1-3)

“Plow up the hardness of your hearts.  Otherwise the good seed will be wasted among the thorns.  Cleanse your minds and hearts not just your bodies.”  (Jer.4:3,4 Living Letters)

Every sin begins with the imagination.  “Out of the heart, proceeds . . .” Images begin out of the heart.  (deep down inside, what we are all about)  Question – whose image?  We read symbols – images on flat surfaces (just like you are doing right now) letters formed into words out of the imagination.  We see in depth and perception images to the brain, feeding the body.  We hear sounds, vibrations by cymbals – images to the mind, feeding our soul.  “Out of the abundance of the heart . . . the mouth speaks.”  Imagination – images out of the heart.  Is that who “I AM”?  Identity = image – who I AM.  Question: again, whose image is it?  “Created in God’s image?”  “Being conformed to the image of Christ?”  Or,  __________?  : If you are the Son of God . . . ?  Is my identity (who I really AM) being questioned?  Who is it accusing the brethren, day and night?  Is Christ “IN ME”?  AM I “IN CHRIST”?  Is the accuser greater than that?  Let’s not mess up with our own elite ideas.  (like filthy rags)  our imagination spoils our image of a new creation.  Attacks our true identity.  Every action, (sinful or not) begins with a thought.  (imagine that)  Does our heart skip a beat?  What makes you blush?  Morally?  Spiritually? Bodily? Intellectually?  Watching and waiting?

“If your heart keeps right,  If your heart keeps right.”   “No more sadness, no more night.”

All not right?  Still protesting?  Avoiding Jesus?  Rid of God?  Pigheaded?

Why is it hard to confess sins to others and ask them to pray with me?  Self – Pride (weakness perceived?)  Not denial of my sin but hard to admit I AM a sinner, to others (stubborn, stiff necked) who could hold you accountable; to say so.  If you doubt it, quit it.  Saying :I AM all right with God” with something between you and the Savior.

Is there anyone I can admit  my faults to and ask them to pray with me?  _____________________ .  (JESUS?)

What would be to my benefit if I could be open and vulnerable to another?  Could be crucified!  Could be held accountable!  Could provide forgiveness!  Could give God glory!

Why am I so quick to answer my critics?  Do I need to answer every accusation?  Do they really know me?  Like Jesus does?

Lord, why do I feel I have to fix everything?  Must I always have an opinion?  Must I micro manage everything?  Does the minutest detail matter to you, Father?

There is no debt of Love greater than what we owe Christ.  There is no moral violation more profound than our obedience.  He releases us and we are forgiven.  He says,  “Follow up after me.”  (I Pet.2:23)  (Watchman Nee)

“The steps of the godly are directed by the Lord.  He delights in every detail of their lives.  Though they stumble, they will not fall.  For the Lord holds them by the hand.”  (Ps.37:23,24 TLB)

Sing:

Only to be what He wants me to be, every moment of every day;

Yielded completely to Jesus alone, every step of this pilgrim way.

Just to be clay in the Potters hand, ready to do what His Word commands,

Only to be what He wants me to be, every moment of every day!

“FORGIVE US OUR SIN”

http://ourprayerjournal.space.live.com

FORGIVE US OUR SIN  Father, you give us what we need from your Word (Our Daily Bread) to live the life of your Son, Our Savior, all over again in these bodies of ours.  Doing your will because your Kingdom has come in us; and the life we now live, we live by the faith of your Son who loved us and gave His life for us.  Father, we hold sacred, we hallow your name as you come to us.  In the name of Jesus, we reverence you, we worship you, we adore you.   Lord, you are not just some figment of our imagination, but you are the Father, creator, of all we believe to be true about you, and all you have to do with us.  We did not dream you up, but you make yourself know to us and who we are in relationship to you.  We say . . . FORGIVE US . . .all that would separate us from your love to us: OUR SIN!  My sins, my sins, my Savior, how sad on you they fall.  “FORGIVE” The role of a King.  You are our King. The key to the Kingdom is your forgiveness through the sacrifice of your one and only Son, our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.  We recognize Him and repent by changing our mind and attitude and direction we have been going.  We admit our need and our sin.  We agree with what you have said to us about it.  We confess our need of you, pardon and cleanse us from every sin.  I AM sorry, excuse me, forgive me.  We can’t hold a grudge and receive forgiveness or forgive. We can’t have any guilt and have forgiveness or forgive.  Father you hold no grudges.  Jesus you are not guilty of any sin.  You are free to forgive us our debts.  (we owe you righteousness, but give you our filthy rags) (We owe others the debt of love you give but we give . . . ?)  Thank you for forgiving me!  (the same way I forgive) Your judgmental forgiveness has declared that I AM not guilty.  Sin is settled on the cross through the sacrifice of you Son. “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness; according unto the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions.  Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin;  For I acknowledge my transgressions and my sin is ever before me.  Against you, and you only, have I sinned and done this evil in your sight; that you might be justified when you speak, and be clear when you judge.  Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.  Surely you desire truth in the inward parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place. (who I AM and whose I AM)  Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden part you shall make me to know wisdom.  (image, our identity)  Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.  Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones you have broken may rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out my iniquities.  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right Spirit within me.  Cast me not away from your presence; and take not your Holy Spirit from me.  Restore unto me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with your free Spirit.  Then will I teach transgressors your ways; and sinners shall be converted unto you.  Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, you are God of my salvation; and my tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.  O God, you open my lips; and my mouth to show forth your praise.  For you do not desire sacrifice; or else I would give it.  You delight not in burnt offerings.  The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.  Do good in you good pleasure to Zion; build again the walls of Jerusalem.  Then you shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offerings’ shall they offer bullock upon your alter.”  (Psalm 51:1-19) God has blotted them out, I’m happy, glad and free. God has blotted them out, Just turn to Isaiah and see; Chapter 44: 22 and 3 “He’s blotted them out” And now I can shout, For that means me.  “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

“For He has made Him to be sin for us; who knew no sin; that we may be made the righteousness of God in Him.”  (II Cor.5:21)

Gone, gone, gone, gone; yes my sins are gone. Now my soul is free and in my hearts a song. Buried in the deepest sea, yes that’s good enough for me; I shall live eternally, praise God, my sins are g-o-n-e, gone.

Lord be merciful to me a sinner,  We pray as you taught your disciples who also wanted to know how to pray, saying “FORGIVE US”

Lust is a giant that has a twin—anger. Both lust and anger are manifestations of uncontrolled passion. They feed each other and cause great damage to any relationship. The connection between lust and anger is demonstrated in one Greek word for anger. It is the word orge. The same emotional drive that causes a sexual orgy causes an anger orgy. Thus, God instructs us to:

“Put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth” (Colossians 3:8).

Anger is often caused by deep hurts from the past that were never forgiven. When similar hurts occur, the emotion from the past surges up into an explosion of anger. David’s angry outburst and harsh judgment for the man who stole his neighbor’s sheep was possibly motivated by the shame and rejection that he and his men received at the hand of Nabal years earlier. (See I Samuel 25:10.)

Moses’s angry outbursts could be traced to the rejection from his own people that he experienced years after he sacrificed so much to try to deliver them. The following testimony illustrates the freedom that comes by forgiving past offenders.

“Thirty years ago I attended a Basic Seminar1 in Seattle as a very angry, bitter man. I was raised in a home of angry beating and sexual abuse. I lived with the goal of killing my stepfather. In the seminar, you spoke about my need to go to my stepfather and ask for his forgiveness. I did not want to do this, but the moment I did I was set free.

“The next year I re-attended the seminar and now heard the truth that God becomes the Father to the fatherless. The joy of the Lord so filled me that I learned to laugh for the first time in my life at the age of 33. I became a pastor and have shared these truths all over the world. I am now 60 years old and love the Lord more than I can say.”

Failure to forgive past offenders means that God will turn us over to tormentors, which can include lust. (See Matthew 18:34.)

When we refuse to forgive our offenders and hold them prisoner by our anger and bitterness, we resist God’s grace and give Satan the “legal right” to hold us hostage by sins that we cannot conquer. (See Ephesians 4:26–27.) Just as the unforgiving servant was turned over to the tormentors until his full debt was paid, Jesus said, “So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses” (Matthew 18:35).

The battle to conquer lust is tremendously important. We cannot afford to lose it by refusing to forgive an offender! Now is the time to ask the Lord to reveal to us anyone whom we have not fully forgiven and sincerely forgive him from the heart.

Through Christ our Lord, Bill Gothard

ANGER

Eph. 4:26 “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: . . “

What is this supposed to mean? Is there a righteous anger? Is there ever any good in any anger? What is anger without any good end in it?

Jas 4:1 “From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?

What would cause a 6ft., 250lbs. Son to shout and get on top and punch a 150lbs. Handicapped defenseless brother who is non-verbal and unable to shout a word of protest? Should these brothers go unprotected? Who can deliver us from this kind wrath? Who has part in the solution of deliverance?

I Thess. 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

Deliverance from righteous anger. . . (What is deserved) depends on Him. . . not in the one causing  warring members. . . makes any sense!

The evil impulses that grip the human heart cause Paul’s cry for deliverance:

“What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?” (Rom 7:24). The answer to Paul’s cry is “Jesus Christ our Lord” (v. 25). All pleas for deliverance are answered by the person and work of Jesus Christ. He was delivered up for us (Rom 4:25) that he might deliver us from all that threatens us in this life and in the life to come.

The ultimate deliverance for humankind is from the coming wrath of God on the final day of judgment. Here again, the people of God have hope in the “The Deliverer” (Rom 11:26) who will intervene and save them from the terrible fate reserved for the ungodly: “Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath” (1 Thess 1:10).

What about forgiveness and tolerance to the evil one causing the hurt? “Forgive us this day. . .” Who is it that justifies?

Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;”

So what is the conclusion? THIMK! (Got your attention? Misspelled on purpose to cause us to stop and think.)

“BREAD”

November 27, 2006 by topray

“BREAD” The best BREAD, Father, made of whole wheat, scarce for the poor, barley ripen earlier harvest (never wild) was your idea, making of BREAD, your gift to man as is your Word.  Lord, it is corrupted when the enemy plants weeds to grow with the grain.  Jealousy in offerings, where ordinary offering is compared to the best.  (one measure of wheat equals three measures of barley, ‘used for feeding animals’, taking three measures of meal for a single baking)  The poverty of your disciples is the same today, but multiplied by your Son, Jesus, (five barley loaves).  We complain for the plain, nothing barely left but barley bread to eat, in comparison with God’s choice meat, it is vile, yet uses it to overthrow the mighty.  “He takes the base things of this world to confuse the wise.”  God still uses simple ordinary people.  It is not beneath even the kings daughters to bake fresh bread daily or it soon dries out, becomes hard and brittle.  Thin loaves crisp enough to be broken.  “Give us this day our DAILY BREAD.”  Hastily baked without any leaven added (time is to short to wait for it to rise) to corrupt our bread of life.  (left in the oven while we sleep, then left to burn, with evil)  Pure loaves with no time for ferment. (being excluded from the sacrifice) “He took BREAD and broke it saying, this is my body which is broken for you . . . “  Jesus is “THE BREAD OF LIFE’.  “They came together to break BREAD.” “By sacrificing Whole-Burnt-Offerings and Aromatic incense to God at the DAILY morning and evening prayers, setting out fresh Holy BREAD on a clean table, and lighting lamps on the golden lamp stand every night.  We continue doing what God told us to do in the way He told us to do it; but you have rid yourselves of Him.”  (Context: II Chronicles 13:10-12) O Lord may we never tire of you!  We come clean today with a desire to please you and offer you our self in your presence a pure sacrifice made Holy by the blood of your Son.  Give us this day from your Word, the BREAD of life to be all you meant for us “TO BE”.  You feed us new every morning.  Feed us ‘til we want no more.  Praise your Holy Name!   OUR DAILY BREAD  Cake Queen Elizabeth 1.     1 cup dates 1 cup water  Bake one minute and let to recline 2.     Cakes ¼ cup butter           1  cup sugar           1  egg           1 ½ cup flour           1  teaspoon baking flour           1  teaspoon vanilla           1  teaspoon baking soda           ½ cup walnuts in crumbs                 Mix all ingredients. “DAILY BREAD” – Bread Of Life http://ourprayerjournal.spaces.live.com

The Living Bread

“He helps you realize that food isn’t everything,  and that real life comes by obeying every command of God.”  (Deut.8:3b)

“Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, what you shall put on.  Is not life more than raiment?  Behold the fowls of the air ; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you much better than they?  Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his statue?  And why take you thought for your raiment?  Consider the lilies of the filed, how they grow;  they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory was not as arrayed like one of these.  Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, o you of little faith?  Therefore take not thought saying, what shall we eat?  Or what shall we drink? Or, wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (for after all these things do the gentiles seek): for your Heavenly Father knows what you have need of all these things.  But seek you first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you. Take therefore nor thought for tomorrow: for tomorrow shall take thought of the things for itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Mt.6:25-35)

The past is history, (His Story) and tomorrow is too!

“DAILY BREAD”

Jesus said, “I AM the bread of life.”

Where shall we go?  You have the words of life.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

“Thy words were sweeter than honey and I did eat them.  I considered them more than my necessary food.

Today – food, clothing, shelter . . . God’s store house – His resources . . . Heaven.

He cares for the flowers . . . How much more He cares for us . . .  Sustains life – bountifully (sparrows) and beautifully (lilies).  Seek first . . . His Kingdom . . . His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.  The living Word!  The Bread of Life!

“And Jesus said unto them, I AM the Bread of life; he that comes to me shall never hunger and he that believes on me shall never thirst.  Very truthfully I tell you this, that he who believes on me has everlasting life.”  “I AM the bread of life.  “I AM the living bread which came down from Heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever.” (Jn.6:32-58)

Bread of Heaven feed me ‘til I want no more, Here’s my cup, fill it up and make me whole.

Feed my faith – What are we filled with?  Fed by the Word of God?  Filled with the Holy Spirit?  We are what we are filled with, what we feed on.  What are we addicted to?  I set my affections . . .  Look upon, taste, handle, hear – Words of Life.  Spirit senses who you are.  Totally!

The Bread of Life  (context Mt.6:11&Lk.11:2-4)

Lord Jesus, as we pray like you said to pray to “Our Father” we have needs today that could only be answered from your good Word to us.  You have spoken and it is so.  It is in you we trust.  Our assurance is in you.  Our affections are from you spirit that brings us to you.  It is you who have made us.  We Love you and we worship you.  We adore all that is yours.  Heavenly people on this planet, here and now.

Our desire is to have you right-in-us, for we need you to fill us with your very self; A Word from above, a lesson for today, divine appointments living as your children.  We ask for bread of life to teach us to live soberly, temperate in all things this day.  Just bread only, not things we want, but bread of life to fill our every need.  We do not ask for the bread of others, or a loaf of deceit, (Pr.20:17); nor bread of idleness, (Pr.31:27), but bread from honest gain.  Our real security is in you.

Bread, the gift that comes down from the Father of light that would not withhold any good thing to those who would walk uprightly.  Not giving a snake or a stone; we depend on your daily appointment for us today.  We beg for your gift of life, your Word for us today; you give it, not sell it or lend it, but give to us freely to feed our hungry souls.  Help us to see that need in others; that we may be instruments of your grace gifts to your children, especially those of the household of faith.  Renew and replenish today’s supply of manna and the meat from your Word we pray, dear Abba, Father.  Daddy,  how could we ever go a day without you, without bread, without talking to you or an awareness of your presence?  Our mind is fixed, stayed on you, for crying our loud.

We dread what would happen if left to ourselves.

We hope for your mercy and grace to keep us as children.  We ask you to forgive our own ways of thinking, missing out on your blessing.  Help us to forgive others we see making those same mistakes we have made.  We need your manner of living, your way.  Reconcile us to yourself we pray.  Our confidence is in you to perform that which you have said to be in our lives this day.

“I have not departed from the commands of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread.” (Context of Job 23:11-13)

“So let us continue daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread, from house to house.  They ate food with gladness and simplicity of heart.” (Acts 2:45-47)

O Lord may we never tire of you!  We come clean today with a desire to please you and offer our self in your presence a pure sacrifice made Holy by the blood of your Son.  Give us this day from your Word, the bread of life to be all that you have meant for us to be; wholly, Holy, whole.  You feed us anew every morning.  Feed us ‘til we want no more.  Praise your Holy name!

“Hallowed be” “Kingdom come” “You will be done” “Give us” “Forgive us” “Lead us” and “Deliver us”, we pray.

TODAY

November 25, 2006 by topray

TODAY  http://ourprayerjournal,spaces,live.com

“Give Us THIS DAY Our Daily Bread.”

“I cry unto You DAILY.”

TODAY – THIS DAY  (Priestly role)

“TODAY is the day of salvation.”  “Inwardly renewed day by day.”

“This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

We need to pray TODAY “Our Father”, “Holy”, “Thy will be done”, “Thy Kingdom come”, “Give us’, “Forgive us”, “Lead us”, “Deliver us”.

The importance of performing the role you give to us for THIS DAY as Prophet, Priest, King.  (Faithfulness is much more to be found)  On behalf of “Our” for “Us”.

A Prophet – Says what God says, His say-so, proclaiming God’s Word.  Speaks forth God’s righteousness.  Predicts what God may or may not do.

A Priest – Intercedes. A go between, sacrifices, stands in the gap.

A King – Serves his kingdom, forgives his subjects, rules, reigns, provides, and protects his domain.

“And has made us Kings and Priests unto God His Father’ to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen!.” (Rev.1:6)

Wrapped in His robe of righteousness to rule and reign righteously.  Aaron wore a ‘epod’ when coming to the Lord and on his shoulders were the names of the children of Israel that he named daily in his high priestly duty.  (Could we shoulder “OUR” family names, friends and neighbors.)  Inside the breast pocket was the ‘thumin’ and ‘urim’, next to his heart for decision making. (casting lots)

Jack Hayford confirms this Scriptural principal he caught from his Dad.  Lord this concept you set as an example in our approach to you on behalf of our family as Aaron bore the tribal names of Israel.

“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.  But exhort one another DAILY, while it is called TODAY; lest any of you be hardened through deceitfulness of sin.  For we are partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.” (Heb.3:12-14)

“It’s not over, ‘til it’s over.” (Yogi Bear?)

“While it is TODAY if you will not harden your heart as in the provocation. (Heb.3:7,8)  Provoke not your children to wrath, not easily provoked, turning from God, deceived, complaining.” (provoker, you know who you are.)  Dad!

“TODAY”  Live each day as if it were your last.

“I said to myself.  I’m going to quit complaining!  I’ll keep quiet, especially when the ungodly are around me.  But as I stood there silently the turmoil within me grew to the bursting point.  The more I thought about it the hotter I got, inside.  Then at last I couldn’t hold it any longer.  I spoke, plead with God: Lord, help me realize how brief my time on earth will be.  Help me know that I am here a moment more.  My life is no longer than my hand!  My whole lifetime is but a moment to you.  Proud man!  Frail as breath!  A shadow!  And all his busy rushing ends in nothing.  He heaps up riches for someone else to spend.  And so, Lord, my hope is in you.  Save me from being overpowered by my sins, for even fools will mock me then.  Lord, I am speechless before you.  I will not open my mouth to speak one word of complaint, for my punishment is from you.  Lord, don’t hit me anymore – I am exhausted beneath your hand.  When  you punish a man for his sins, he is destroyed, for he is fragile as a moth-infested cloth; yes man is frail as breath.  Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my cry!  Don’t sit back, unmindful of my tears.  For I am your guest.  I am a traveler passing through the earth, as my fathers were.  Spare me. Lord.  Let me recover and be filled with happiness again before my death.”  (Psalm 39

TODAY – This is the first day of the rest of your life.  How brief, life, but a vapor, puff!

IT WAS A UNIQUE, NEVER-BEFORE, NEVER-AGAIN, ONE-TIME-ONLY, MOMENTOUS EVENT . . . THE DAY THE LORD GAVE YOU LIFE!  AND, LIFE EVERLASTING!

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us . . .”

“This is the day the Lord has made”

“Mans days are as grass”

“His days are numbered”

“So teach us to number our days”

“Lord make me to know my end”

“The measure of my days”

“Books will be opened, – you’ll be judged out of the things written there.”

“Deeds done in the body”

 THIS IS YOUR LIFE!

What is written TODAY in chapter 74, page 27,386?

Lord, how old am I, not in years but in days?

“GIVE US THIS DAY”

November 24, 2006 by topray

“GIVE US. . .” http://www.ourprayerjournal.spaces.live.com

Dare we ask, interrupt in prayer for a personal request, knowing full well we live in Your Domain of Your will “BE”ing done here as it is in Heaven. . .to give us “daily bread”, but Lord You know we have dead toes?  Our feet are numb to feeling and we are not alone in asking for healing?  You are “OUR” Father and we dare ask today to give us feet that feel?  We’re not asking for knowledge like asking the doctor, however Father, perhaps it is something we are eating and the defilement is coming out our toes.  Forgive us the sin of self-indulgence as others in our world suffer.  We need a lead to were we may go to avoid this difficulty; deliverance for the ever present evil.  This request may seem strange and simple to those listening in on our shocking conversation.  Heal us from the top of our heads to the tip of our toes!  Lord, those suffering in Durfar and other parts of the world need the gift of life.  Our enemies need deliverance from evil influence that causes their persecution.  What we ask to receive, may it not supersede deliverance we see in our own land.  This request may seem so small yet we ask in faith, believing You do care.

My Utmost For His Highest – (Oswald Chambers)

Praying to God in Secret

When you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place . . .
—Matthew 6:6
The primary thought in the area of religion is— keep your eyes on God, not on people. Your motivation should not be the desire to be known as a praying person. Find an inner room in which to pray where no one even knows you are praying, shut the door, and talk to God in secret. Have no motivation other than to know your Father in heaven. It is impossible to carry on your life as a disciple without definite times of secret prayer.
“When you pray, do not use vain repetitions . . .” (
Matthew 6:7 ). God does not hear us because we pray earnestly— He hears us solely on the basis of redemption. God is never impressed by our earnestness. Prayer is not simply getting things from God— that is only the most elementary kind of prayer. Prayer is coming into perfect fellowship and oneness with God. If the Son of God has been formed in us through regeneration (see Galatians 4:19
), then He will continue to press on beyond our common sense and will change our attitude about the things for which we pray.

“Everyone who asks receives . . .” ( Matthew 7:8 ). We pray religious nonsense without even involving our will, and then we say that God did not answer— but in reality we have never asked for anything. Jesus said, “. . . you will ask what you desire . . .” ( John 15:7 ). Asking means that our will must be involved. Whenever Jesus talked about prayer, He spoke with wonderful childlike simplicity. Then we respond with our critical attitude, saying, “Yes, but even Jesus said that we must ask.” But remember that we have to ask things of God that are in keeping with the God whom Jesus Christ revealed. (Oswald Chambers)
What do you say?  Secret Place –  A site where your prayer matters.  “Stored up!”

Secret Place Praying

Many years of daily secret place prayers are on record; “stored up”, “harp”, “vials poured out”. “a sweet smelling savor”. “crushed spice”.  When our prayers go up to you, Our Father, coming from a sincere heart, it rises up to your nostrils, in your presence and stays there.  The more prayers we add, the more they collect in Heaven.  Our prayers do not evaporate, they remain there before you.  (Who said this – Max Lucado?)
“Your house is a house of prayer”.  You know “We are a temple of your Holy Spirit”   -    “A Cathedral, not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens”.
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer”.  In this frequent face-to-face conversation, during these times of intimate talks, O Lord, give us instruction, as we listen to your heart.  Because of what you have done for us, and because your Spirit, Holy, clean and reverent dwells within us, we can enjoy special friendship and closeness with you; Our purpose of “BE”ing.  Thank you, Our Father.
“By sacrificing whole-burnt offerings and aromatic incense to God daily, morning and evening prayers, setting our fresh holy bread on a clean table, and lighting lamps on golden stands every night.  We continue doing what told us to do in the way He told us to do it.  But, you have rid yourselves of Him.”  (Context: II Chronicles 13: 10-12)

O Lord, please help us to never, ever, be rid of you.  Without you we are lost.  “You never ever leave us or forsake us”.  You are never rid of us.  Where would we go, you have the words of life?  If we depart, there remains no more sacrifice for our sins.
To Pray takes discipline.  It was one of the disciples who’s rush to ask Jesus to teach  “US” “TO PRAY”.  We need to pray, but how?  His asking for us tells of our need and our desire to pray.
1.  Admit our need to pray, like Jesus.  Do we really know how?  What is lacking?  Are we confident our prayer gets any higher than the cieling?  Does this secret place to pray fulfill our need of intimacy with Our Father?
2.  Our Spiritual “BE”ing made Holy in His presence is what we ask.  What rewards do we see in openly expressing what you have already said in private when asked to make it public?  Do we come out of our closet to make known what is practiced in private?
3.  We pray to “Our Father’. we “Hallow His name”, “His Kingdom comes”, “His will Done”, He “Gives us”, Forgives us”, Leads us’, and “Delivers us”.
It is all about Him!  It is His life in us that gives Him glory.

“GIVE US”  (those whom we are praying for, the “our”, “we”, and “us”)

To whom do you give to, Our Father?

The fatherless (Ps.10:14)

Those who trust Him. (Ps.28:7)

The poor and needy.  (Ps.72:12)

Those who are weak in their faith. (Mk.9:23,24)

Those who call on Him and seek His face. (Ps.27:9)

All believers in Jesus Christ. (Heb.13:6)

We all have needs supplied today by a loving Father upon His child’s request.

GIVE US this day our daily bread.”

What I AM need of to live His  life “in me” today?

Not what I do, but “YOU” in me today!  It’s all about YOU!

Lord what is it we need to do your will?  “BE” done!  What is it we need for you to reign “in us”?  Your Kingdom come!  And, what is it we need to hallow your name?  Or, for your name to “BE” hallowed in us by what we do or say?

Be “OUR FATHER”

“GIVE US” Our Father  (you have all our resources)

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,

                When our strength has failed ere the day is half done;

When we reach the end of our horded resources,

Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limit; His grace has no measure,

                His power has no boundaries known unto men;

For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,

He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

AS IN HEAVEN

“All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me; and him that comes to Me I will in no wise cast out.  For I came down from Heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent Me.  And this is the Fathers will which has sent Me, that of all which He has given Me I should raise it up again at the last day.  And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that every one which sees the Son, and believes on  Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”  (Jn.6:37-40)

“It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God who also makes intercession for us.” (Rom.8:34)

He prayed for us in the garden and still does, seated beside Our Father in Heaven.

A good time to sing:  “Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow.”

God wills for all to be saved . . . Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, Son of God and have eternal life with Him in Heaven as it is in Heaven on earth.

Hallowed be – Kingdom come – Will done . . .

What is being Heavenly to me Lord?  Am I open to you and others?  Is “Our conversation in Heaven?”  A Heavenly lifestyle.  Walk more than talk.  (R.C.)

What is it we need to “BE” at HOME?

A Holy Place.  Safe and secure.  A place to behold Him.  Wrapped in the arms of Jesus.  REST!

Praise the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, who obey His word.  Praise the Lord, all His Heavenly hosts, you His servants who do His will.  (context Ps.103:19-22)

Let us not just pretend, acting Heavenly, like little angels, but let us “BE” in essence a Holy person, knowing the difference and admitting it when we are not.  Knowing that God is faithful who has prepared us a place to “BE” in His presence.  Not only the Spirit of God the Father in Jesus, but His Spirit is in us.  In my flesh knows, knows Jesus in me.  I AM not a body of Spirit;  I AM a Spiritual person in a body. (R.C.)

  IN HEAVEN –

Finally Home – Don Wyrtzen

When engulfed by the terror of tempestuous sea,

Unknown waves before you roll;

At the end of doubt and peril is eternity,

Though fear and conflict seize your soul:

But just think of stepping on shore and finding it Heaven!

Of touching a hand and finding it God’s!

Of breathing new air and finding it celestial!

Of waking up in Glory and finding it home!

When surrounded by the blackness of the darkest night,

O how lonely death can be;

At the end of this long tunnel is a shinning light,

For death is swallowed up in victory!

But just think of stepping on shore and finding it Heaven!

Of touching a hand and finding it God’s!

Of breathing new air and finding it celestial!

Of waking up in Glory and finding it home!

O that will be Glory for me, Glory for me, Glory for me;

When by His grace I shall look on His face,

That will be Glory, be Glory for me!

(Be Glory for WE!)

What will it be like when we see the Lord for the first time? The song “I Can Only Imagine” asks,

Surrounded by Your glory,
what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You, Jesus,
or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in Your presence,
or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine!

Ezekiel was a priest among the Jewish exiles in Babylon and had visions of the Lord (see chapters 1,8,10-11). He described God’s presence as “the appearance of fire with brightness all around,” “the color of amber,” and like “a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day.” Ezekiel’s reaction was to fall on his face before Him and to listen to His instructions (1:27-28).

The apostle John also saw a vision of God’s presence. He may have been Jesus’ closest friend here on earth. At the Last Supper, prior to the crucifixion, we read that John was “leaning on Jesus’ bosom” (John 13:23). Yet when John saw a vision of the Son of God in all His glory and power, he had the same reaction Ezekiel had, and “fell at His feet as dead” (Revelation 1:10-17). We cannot comprehend how brilliant and awesome the Lord’s glory is, so we can’t be sure of how we’ll respond when one day we’re in His presence. Will we dance or be still? Will we stand in awe or fall to our knees? Will we sing or not be able to speak at all? Just imagine! —Anne Cetas

“ON/IN EARTH”

November 20, 2006 by topray

“THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”  Lord and Master?

“You call me Master and Lord; and you say well; for so I AM.”  (Jn.13:13)

To have a Master and be Mastered is not the same thing.  (Oswald Chambers) To have a Master means there is one who knows better than I know myself, one who is closer than a friend, one who fathoms the remotest abyss of my heart and satisfies it, one who has brought me into the secure sense that He has met and solved every perplexity and problem of my mind.  To have a Master is this and nothing less – “One is your Master, even Christ.” – but is He?

I Wish!  Or, do I wish to be left alone?  To be Mastered, making me do anything.  Forced obedience is proof that we have no Master.  We are far from the relationship He wants, as He had with His Father.  “Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience.” Father, Son relationship, without conscious knowledge, all we know is to obey our Master of Love, as God reveals it in His Word.

We are loved, we are loved,                 I can risk loving you.                 The one who loves me best,                  Loves most. Why we love Him. “We love Him, because He first loved us.” Why we do His will.  His Kingdom come. We  worship and reverence His name – Jesus! The fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Self Control; against such there is no law.”  (Gal.5:22,23)

“Thy will be done – IN US.”

“DO”ing things God’s way. (Watchman Nee) God will bless; ·        What He initiates ·        What depends on Him for success ·        What is done according to His Word ·        What is done for His glory (Acts 13:1-3) It’s worthy following a worthy leader who knows Our Fathers will.  He wants ACTION (“Do justly”), AFFECTION (“Love mercy”), ASSOCIATION  (“walk humbly with your God”). Triple AAA “I CAN DO all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” My eye can – I can do.   Just do it. Jesus said: “I am the true vine, and my father is the gardener; you are the branches.  Whoever lives IN ME and I IN HIM shall produce a large crop of fruit.  For without me you CAN DO nothing.” THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH AS IT IS DONE IN HEAVEN. IN EARTH or ON EARTH or IN US In us, here and now! The “Our” of “Our Father” A “Hallowed Name”, a “Kingdom Come”, a “Will Done” If we don’t . . . His creation will!! All nature springs to life . . . the rocks will cry out. Dies to self, revives, metamorphisizes. (a butterfly) Ecology – Care of creation. (R.C.) “THY WILL BE DONE” In essence, “BE”ing like Jesus in practice.“Always doing as the Father asks.” “BE DOERS OF THE WORD”

“BE DONE”

“THY WILL BE DONE” When my will equals = “Our Fathers” will (choice) A Master . . . . To Do your will because Your Kingdom comes;  Your Name “Jesus” “BE” Hallowed  “We have not stopped praying for you and asking God to ‘FILL YOU’ with the knowledge of ‘HIS WILL’” (Col.1:9)  “Having made known unto us the mystery of ‘YOUR WILL’, according to His good pleasure which He has purposed in Himself.” (Eph.1:9)  “For it is God which works ‘IN YOU’ both to ‘WILL’ and to ‘DO’ of His good pleasure.” (Phil.2:13)  “If any man will DO His will, he shall know . . . .” (Jn.7:17) “Teach me ‘TO DO’ thy will; for you are my God.” (Ps.143:10) “I delight ‘TO DO’ your will, O my God:” (Ps.40:8) “Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire ‘THAT YOU MIGHT BE FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL’ in all wisdom and Spiritual understanding.”  (Caps for emphasis) W.W.J.D. What Would Jesus Do W.W.J.E. What Would Jesus Eat W.J.S.H.T.O.T. Would Jesus Spend His Time On This I.H.W.I. Is He Worth It H.I.W. He Is Worthy  “Let this mind be in you that is in Christ Jesus . . . .” (Phil.2:5)  “God’s Word at work ‘IN YOU’.” (I Thess.2:13)  “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”  Jesus, You are always doing what Our Father asks (Jn.5:36) “You are always interceding for us.” “You are always about Our Fathers house (business).”  Father, what must I DO?  Watch and wait?  What do you mean?  What I can I’ll do.  Not knowing intellectually (just being curious) ignorant, without excuse; but by obeying (“DO”ing the will of God).  Risking the outcome even being thought of as a fanatic.   Oh, the faith that Jesus gives, never dies, it always lives. Jesus knew their faith: “I pray for them which shall believe on me.” (That’s ME!) Our fate is in His faith that He imparts to every believer His Will Be Done.   THY WILL BE DONE   When my will equals =  your will (Choice) A Master. . . to DO your will. Because your “KINGDOM COME”. Your name “BE” “HALLOWED”  “We have not stopped praying for you and asking God to ‘FILL YOU’ with the knowledge of ‘HIS WILL’.” (Col.1:9) “Having made known unto us the mystery of ‘HIS  WILL’, according to His good pleasure which He has purposed in Himself.” (Eph.1:9) “For it id God which works ‘IN YOU’ both to ‘WILL’ and to ‘DO’ of His good pleasure.” (Phil.2:13) “If any man will DO HIS WILL, he shall know . . .” (Jn.7:17) “Teach me TO DO YOUR WILL, O my God;” (Ps.40:8) “Who also declared unto us your Love in the Spirit. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to Pray for you, and to desire ‘THAT YOU MIGHT BE FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL’ in all wisdom and Spiritual understanding.” “Let this mind ‘BE’ in you that is in Christ Jesus. . .” (Phil.2:5) “God’s Word at work IN YOU.” (I Thess.2:13) “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Jesus, you are always doing what Our Father asks.” (Jn.5:36) “You are always interceding for us.” “You are always about Our Fathers house (business).” Father, What is it that I must DO for the time “BE”ing?                 Watch and wait for your Word? (I’m listening)                 What do you mean by that?                 What I can DO, I’ll DO.                 Not knowing you intellectually (just being curious) ignorant.                 But by obeying your Word (“DO”ing the WILL of God)                 Risking the outcome of being thought of as a fan of yours. W.W.J.D. What Would Jesus Do? W.W.J.E. What Would Jesus Eat? W.J.S.H.T.O.T. Would Jesus Spend His Time On This? I.H.W.I. Is He Worth It? H.I.W. He Is Worthy!                 “O the faith that Jesus gives, never dies, it always lives.”  Jesus knew their faith: “I Pray for them which shall believe on me.” Our fate is in His faith that He imparts to every “BE”liever.  “THY WILL BE DONE”  “For whosoever shall DO the will of my Father which is in Heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”  (Mt.12:50)  “For it is God which works in you to will and TO DO of His good pleasure.” (Phil.2:13)  “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but DEED and in truth.  And hereby we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before Him.  For it our heart condemn us not, then we have confidence toward God.  And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because WE KEEP His commandments, and DO those things that are pleasing in His sight.” (I Jn.3:18-22)  ‘BE DONE”  (finished, will accomplished, completed) A sense of duty. (not inspirational feelings or emotional highs) Requires faithfulness.  Doctrine becomes duty. Where the rubber hits the road. ‘NEVERTHELESS” . . . . Tenacity.  Stick-to-it-tive-ness!  BE DONE “BE ye DOERS OF THE Word, and not hearers only”  (James 1:22-25)  Oswald Chambers says:  The only thing that exceeds RIGHT-DOING is RIGHT-BEING.  Not my doing or being right, but in essence “BE”ing God’s person.  P.B.P.W.M.G.I.N.F.W.M.Y.  (Life Principle – Bill Gothard) A badge worn to question it’s meaning. Please Be Patient With Me God Is Not Finished With Me Yet.   “Forgetful hearers look into the Word, then walk away forgetting what they heard,  Looking into the mirror of the Word, forgetting what they saw.”  (James 1:23-25)  Content – state of “BE”ing. (satisfied)  Total sum of what you are filled with. (see, hear, taste, smell) content with con-tent.  “Whatever state I AM therein to be content.” “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” Holiness – God likeness!  Lord, give me a memory for your Word.  Jesus, may I not forget what it is that you have shown me TO DO your will.  O Holy Spirit bring to my memory those things Father God has told me TO DO.  “How can two walk together except they be agreed?”  (Amos 3:3)  The will of God is walking in agreement with what He has told us TO DO.  What good are thoughts – if there are no words? What good are words – if there is no action. What He says – it is so!  THIMK (misspelled to make you stop and THINK) When I am in the heat of the battle I tend not to.  I’m thick!  “Be DOERS of the Word,” Work or what?  “If we say the same thing He says about our sin, He is faithful and just willing to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from all un-right-in-us.  (I Jn.1:9)  “If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.”  (I Jn.1:7)   Knowing God’s Will: Be Done!  Is it MY “_______” Or? His Hands – His Feet – His Heart – His Mind – His Ears – His Eyes – His Nose – His Mouth – His Tongue – His Forgiveness – His Cleansing – His Will Done?  I give you my “SELF”, my body, for you to do with as you please, as LORD of my life. (Wholly Holy?) Seeing what you do for me, it is the least I can do. May I be a non-conformist to those in the World’s system? Help me to know what it is that you want me to do. You said that you would let me know what is acceptable and the perfect thing to do; may I prove it. (misquote Rom.12:1,2)
